Do you have a fandom that you follow - either regularly or casually - with little to no knowledge of canon?

I used to do this a lot (esp with marvel, dc & bnha). But I've largely stopped doing this.

I liked the movie Stargate but found the TV unwatchable. But I like fanfic of the TV.

Sentinel and Magnificent 7 are a couple that I got into without ever seeing the canons.

Honestly? You just described most of bnha & some of the marvel(cu) to me. I'm not against on reading fanworks od stuff I haven't consumed yet, I just don't have the interest in it right now.
