Sites To Post
SquidgeWorld

{both are forks of AO3, & Sunset is for femslash specifically}

EDIT:
OnlyOffice is an Word, Excel & Powerpoint clone which works interchangable (& you don't have to have intsall the AI features <3). Suggested by [personal profile] squidgiepdx

The Fiction Writer's Silent Partner (hardcover) a toolkit book for writers who like to make characters and setting before writting.
Writers Helping Writers Series (10 book series) a series of books which help with various topics including character building to make even similar characters diffrent. Both suggested by [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith

Also, there's a free Office tool out there called OnlyOffice and it's basically a Word, Excel, and PowerPoint clone. Works interchangeably, too - and you don't have to install any of the AI crap to get it working or use it. Just FYI.

Thank you!

I appreciate the signal boost.

If you really want to extend a middle finger to Google:

The Fiction Writer's Silent Partner (hardcover)

Written later, with more detail because more volumes, is this toolkit series for writers who like to build pieces such as characters and setting before they start the storytelling:

Writers Helping Writers Series (10 book series)

The Emotional Wound Thesaurus is among my most-used books, because each entry is basically a character-builder for someone with a key tragic event. There's so much packed on those two pages, you can write a whole set of characters (e.g. a family who survived a fire) and still have them turn out with different strengths and weaknesses based on different reactions to the same event.
