Aromantic February 2025 Prompt List

Since I feel / know that aromanticism can be put on the wayside in fandom, here's a prompt list where non-romance is the focus or the good thing.

Note for others wanting to join:
* You may use the prompts however you please (including skipping prompts, replacing prompts, doing multiple prompts in one work, etc), just have fun!
* Any type of work is allowed (art, prose, mixtape/playlist, icons, meta, plot bunnies, short posts how it applies to the characters, etc), just have fun!
* Original fiction is good too, the above rules also applies, just have fun!


1) Characters doing Arts & Crafts (bonus points if it's new to them).

2) Gifting, trade and / or sharing things with others.

3) A character meets the close ones of another character.

4) Relationship misunderstanding, but non-romance as a happy ending.

5) Traveling / exploring while the others are busy.

6) Eating junk food / a treat as a reward.

7) Friends with Benefits, and the involved parties are happy with it.

8) Leaving a party the character(s) aren't enjoying anyway.

9) Non-typical family building.

10) Breaking up / cutting ties as a happy ending.

11) Character getting a pamperment day.

12) Singles only hang-out / party.

13) Characters playing a sport (bonus points if it's new to them).

14) Character(s) apologizing to someone they've wronged.

15) Exploring boundries (no romo).

16) A character as the Crazy Cat Lady (/compliment).

17) No romance saves the day.

18) Friendship that breaks stupid / unfair rules.

19) A character forgiving themselves.

20) Breaking the illusion / debunking a myth.

21) Characters cooking together (bonus points if it's new to them).

22) Winning / getting one over on your enemy.

23) Character(s) singing badly at a bar.

24) Breaking an addiction / cycle.

25) Solving a problem in an unexpected way.

26) The un-glamorous (but rewarding) nature of gardening.

27) Helping somebody clean up.

28) Character(s) finding out they're / coming out as aromantic.

I love that one of the first posts I saw scrolling on my phone to find the Fannish 50 sign up was this. I love seeing other arospec people here. This sounds great and I’m glad you’re doing it.

Thanks! I can't promise I'll do all 28 prompts, but I do want fill as many as my body allows cause non-romance & aromatics deserves the spotlight too! :3

But don't worry about doing them "on time" or whatever. I get the want to create more then you can, so I don't care if you do it actually in February or several months later (i mainly chose a month to challege myself + feb is valentine's moth so irony). I hope you just have fun in the prompts regardless what you chose to do with them ^_^

Eeek! I am so sad I only just found this, but it already gave me inspiration for something and I'll be using this as a personal aro febuary challenge for myself even though it's not 2025 anymore :') Thank you for this!!
